


About Shrutilaya School of Dance,Founded in Singapore by Gayatri Sriram
A distinguished Bharatanatyam artiste and senior disciple of Kalakshetra Alumnus Karnataka Kalashree Minal Prabhu. Precision and rigor, which are the hallmarks of the Kalakshetra style, are reflected in entirety in Gayatri’s classes. The institution has cultivated students across the world who, alongside their professional careers and education, equally pursue Dance professionally and with great passion.
Shrutilaya have made their mark on the international stage, performing solo and in productions at prestigious venues, including the Nehru Centre, London, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Sri Narada Gana Sabha, The Esplanade to name a few. Students from Shrutilaya have earned accolades for their solo performances, manyof whom perform regularly during the December Margazhi Season in Chennai.
Shrutilaya has also earned praise for its innovative group productions, which combine traditional themes with creative storytelling. These include: Rama Katha, Feathered Fables* – Stories inspired by the Jataka Tales, Badrinath, Trikon to name a few.
Shrutilaya continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of Bharatanatyam dancers, keeping this classical art alive and thriving on the global stage.
