
Mallika Shankar was introduced to Bharatanatyam at the tender age of 5. She has been training in this art form for the last 15 years under the guidance of Guru.Smt Gayatri Sriram, founder of Shrutilaya Dance school, Singapore and Guru Smt. Minal Prabhu, founder of Mudrika Foundation, Bangaluru.
Mallika has performed at various temple and dance festivals in Singapore & India. She presented a Margam at the prestigious Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Chennai in Dec 2019 as well as at Sai Nrityotsav in Jan 2019.
She has performed at the Chidambaram Natyanjali Festival in February 2018, She also presented a Margam at the Alliance Francaise, Singapore in 2017. She presented both a solo production as well as participated in group performances at the Fine Arts dance Festival, Mumbai in July 2019. She participated in a group production at the World Dance Alliance, Bangalore in 2019.
Apart from the above, Mallika has also performed at the prestigious Samarpana Festival, Singapore as well as at the Asian Civilization Museum, Singapore.
Mallika completed her Arangetram in October 2017.
Through the covid period, she participated in many prestigious online performances like Music of Madras dance festival in August 2020, The Laasya Festival in July 2020 to name a few.
Mallika graduated in May 2024 from Tufts Univeristy. She is now preparing embark on her career in Finance in New York.
Mallika’s love for the art form is deeply entrenched as she continues her learning journey under the guidance of her Guru’s.
