I am 19 years old, pursuing Biomedical Engineering in Boston University, Boston, MA, USA.
My dance journey spans over 15 years, guided by Smt. Gayatri Sriram from the Shrutilaya Dance School in Singapore and Smt. Minal Prabhu from the Mudrika Foundation in Bengaluru. Gayatri Sriram’s dedicated mentorship and artistic excellence have ignited my passion for dance, culminating in my arangetram in 2019 (14 years of my age).
I had the opportunity to perform extensively in Singapore and India through participating in various temple festivals, international dance festivals such as Ananya Nriyollasa 46, World Dance Alliance’s 10th International Dance Festival in Bengaluru, Chidambaram Natyanjali Dance Festival, Chembur Fine Arts Mumbai, IIDF Mumbai, Ananya Samarapana, Bhaskareeyam 2022, Nalanda’s Natya Nrityosava 2023, SIFAS KalaVaibhavam 2023, Abhai Pravasi NRI festival 2023, and Kartik Fine Arts Marghazhi Festival (Jan’24).
I have earned recognition in various talent contests, securing prizes in Junior Solo category for the Regional ASEAN Pravasi Diwas in Singapore, the Papanasam Sivan Competition for Varnam and Padam categories, and the Bharatham competition held in Singapore. In addition, I have also received the Natya Nripuna Award from the Nalanda Dance Research Centre Mumbai, the Star TV Young Achiever Awards in Singapore, and the Naatya Sironmani title in the Senior Category dance competition conducted by Thyagayya TV in Singapore.
I would like to pursue my passion in dance in conjunction with my biomedical professional career to make a difference by giving back to this society through continuous learning and teaching.
