Swarali has been learning Bharatanatyam from Guru Smt. Gayatri Sriram, the founder of Shrutilaya Dance School, Singapore for 13 years. She has also trained under Guru Smt. Minal Prabhu through numerous master classes and collaborations with Mudrika Foundation in Bangalore. She completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram in the Kalakshetra style in September 2019 in Pune. Under the guidance of Guru Gayatri Sriram, Swarali has taken part in several productions and venues in Singapore and India including “Ganga – The Flow of Divinity”, “Jataka Tales”,  “Through the Eyes of my City”, “Badrinath – A Tribute to the Guru Parampara,” Chidambaram Natyanjali Festival, “Rama Katha”, and Chembur Fine Arts Society. She was selected amongst the top 10 contestants in the senior category in dance for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Singapore. She also won second position in the Natya Saagar Dance competition organized by Thyagayya TV in Singapore and was awarded the title of ‘Natya Sironmani’. In 2020, Swarali was also chosen to be a part of the Aayiram Malargale Vasantham TV show where she also had the opportunity to play Krishna in the depiction of Mahabharata.

At the age of six, Swarali started learning dance in Tokyo from Smt. Anita Leslie. Later, she took dance lessons from Japanese Bharatanatyam teacher Kyoko Nobi Sensei. Swarali is currently a professional in the healthcare sector after earning her undergraduate degree with a Major in Life Sciences and a Minor in Public Health at the National University of Singapore. Other than dance, Swarali’s interests include Hindustani Classical singing, Japanese language, theatre, and public speaking.
